p.s. I hate you Coree Spencer.

Coree has been doing comedy since 2000 in the form of filmed sketch comedy winning numerous awards for writing and film making. Her sketch “Top Friend” is the 13th most watched video on Myspace of all time. Her sketches have also been featured on the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Comedy website, Comedy Central.com, Funny Or Die, MySpace and YouTube.
Coree started and produced one of Portland’s longest running sketch comedy groups, Homeless Corner from 2003-2009 and from there, formed other award winning groups such as Awful Waffle, Ladies Night! and Kobra Kommander, which won Best Film, Best Editor, Best Musical Score and Audience Favorite for the Portland 2009 48 Hour Film Project.
In 2008-2009, With Coffee For Drew Productions and Sol Actual Media, Coree helped organize and produce Pirate Satellite Television, a travel show on the internet that covered Portland Oregon’s underground scene, the kind of stuff travel shows won’t do. She was also the host of the first season of the show, before leaving the program to focus on her comedy career.
She started stand up comedy in 2008 in Portland, did open mics and then performing with The Rose City Sirens burlesque group, Burlesquire, the BB Dolls and dancer Angelique DeVil in their Carpe Noctem show in November 2008.
Coree was also the host of “You’re Welcome. With Coree Spencer”, a podcast on fccfreeradio.com from 2010-2011 where she interviewed comedians of all levels. In 2009, she was a co host on KPSU, Portland College Radio, of the show “The Dating Classroom”, where she offered advice to callers, but mostly bantering back and forth with the other co-hosts about dildos.
In 2010, Coree hosted 48x10, a web reality show about the 48 Hour Film Project that was filmed at Filmapalooza in Las Vegas in April. It followed the filmmakers of the festival but also Coree and her crew behind the scenes. http://www.youtube.com/user/48x10 The concept was created after the executive producer for the project followed Coree’s winning team in 2009 for the weekend of the contest.
Coree is a writer, producer, video editor, director, actress, makeup artist and anything else that comes her way.
She is currently in post production for her webseries In It To Win It! which features her as the lead actress. The 9 episode show with a cast and crew of over 40 people will be released in 2012 and was shot in Portland, OR.
Coree moved to San Francisco in September 2009 and used to run a comedy showcase room and an open mic at the Pier 23 Cafe from 2009-2010
