I haven’t really been doing much stand up since I got here. I mean, I figure it’s a great way to get known for my comedy but if I wanted to just do stand up I could have stayed in SF.
My friend Victor works for a company on the internet that does How-To videos. His work wanted a location to film a set of makeup videos so the other day I had my very first New York City job and Bethany and I painted and decorated the studio to look like a simple salon.

The next day, Victor needed a test model so he could send the company a video of what the set looked like for approval. Because it was the test, it would never be online so we had a little fun with it. Our video was “How to NOT put on lipstick’. The makeup artist put a dark plum color in the brush and started to paint a smile.

“You know what?” she said, “you don’t even have to put it on the lips. Did you have a bad day? How about a nice smile?” After she was done I gave the camera a creepy smile and the video was done.

I was pretty tired when I got back so I went to take a nap and I woke to my phone ringing.

“My company thought we were being very disrespectful to the model.” he laughed.
THE COMPANY THOUGHT THE VIDEO WAS REAL.
